The Transformation Office is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Change and Engagement to support the implementation of the organisation’s 10-year strategy.

The Assistant Director, Change and Engagement will lead and coordinate change management and stakeholder engagement activities associated with initiatives under the 10-year strategy. The role will work across the organisation to ensure people and teams are informed, engaged and supported through change.

The role will provide practical tools, resources and guidance to enable effective change management outcomes and will build change management capability and capacity across Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL).

Working collaboratively with leaders, project teams and business areas, the Assistant Director will build strong relationships, understand the impacts of change on people and teams, and provide advice to support successful implementation and sustainable outcomes.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a cooperative, culturally sensitive and people-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively in a complex and changing environment.

The Assistant Director, Change and Engagement will:

- Develop and implement communication and change management plans for activities outlined in the AHL Strategy.




- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and support change initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder communications, queries and engagement activities including development of communication materials.
- Support system and business change releases through effective communication and readiness activities.
- Provide program and project coordination to sequencing initiatives to manage capacity, risk, and change impact.
- Monitor risks, impacts and stakeholder needs, providing advice to support decision-making.
- Contribute to program reporting, governance and continuous improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with project and business teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Support leaders to manage change within the AHL and build capability and capacity in change management.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and mentoring to team members and boarder AHL teams to support capability development and performance outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting to the Executive, Board and Committees of the Board as required.

- Be an Australian Citizen
- Undergo a Satisfactory National Criminal History Check (prior to engagement)
- Meet Fitness for Duty requirements
- Hold or obtain relevant qualifications
