What are we looking for

We are looking for an experienced HR, change or project management professional who is organised and comfortable working at pace, with the judgement to cut through complexity and turn workforce challenges into practical outcomes. You will take ownership, learn quickly, ask the right questions and adapt to a direct, outcomes-focused working style. You will care about quality, work collaboratively and know when to stop polishing and land the result.

What will you do

Working directly with the Director, Workforce Strategy and a small team, you will assist in the delivery of strategic workforce planning that aligns capability, capacity and structure with CIT’s priorities. You will turn workforce data into clear insights and practical recommendations, provide sound advice on organisational design, workforce reform and complex people matters, and drive projects from planning through to implementation. You will produce concise, executive-ready briefs, business cases, consultation materials and presentations; develop practical workforce frameworks and tools; and build the relationships needed to move work forward.

You will manage competing priorities, sensitive issues and tight deadlines without losing momentum or attention to detail.

What do you need





You will bring solid contemporary HR or project management/implementation experience, ideally across workforce planning, analytics, organisational design, change or reform. You will have solid judgement, excellent writing skills and the confidence to provide clear, evidence-based advice. You will be practical, resilient and discreet, with the ability to remain calm when work is complex, sensitive or urgent.

Knowledge of the VET sector, the ACT Public Service and CIT employment frameworks is highly desirable, but your ability to learn rapid and deliver high-calibre work is essential.
