Hog’s Breath Cafe Morayfield is looking for an energetic, experienced and customer-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team!

We’re under new management and are focused on rebuilding our standards, strengthening our team culture and creating the kind of guest experience that makes people want to come back again and again.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey and work closely alongside our Restaurant Manager, helping lead the team and drive the restaurant forward.

The Role

As our Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll be the Restaurant Manager’s right hand and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be out on the floor, talking to guests, supporting the team, solving problems and making sure every service runs smoothly.

A huge part of your role will be customer experience.

We want our guests to feel welcomed from the moment they walk through the door and looked after until the moment they leave. You’ll be expected to actively engage with guests, check in on tables, recognise when something isn't right and step in before a small issue becomes a complaint.

You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager to continually improve our service, standards and overall guest experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Work closely alongside the Restaurant Manager to run the restaurant and achieve operational goals.
- Take responsibility for the restaurant during shifts when the Restaurant Manager is not present.
- Lead the FOH team during busy services and keep the floor running smoothly.
- Create a welcoming, fun and memorable experience for every guest.
- Regularly check in with guests and proactively identify opportunities to improve their experience.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and turn negative experiences into positive ones wherever possible.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, service and ticket times.
- Lead by example with exceptional customer service.




- Coach and develop team members on hospitality and service standards.
- Assist with staff training, onboarding and performance management.
- Help maintain high standards across FOH and BOH.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with rostering, shift coverage and staff communication.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
- Assist with cash handling and daily administration.
- Ensure food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures are followed.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming restaurant.
- Communicate closely with the Restaurant Manager regarding staff, guests, operations and opportunities for improvement.
