Description
Reporting to the Executive Leader, Help to Buy (HTB) and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, this is a key business role which supports the strategic oversight of the HTB Scheme.
Key responsibilities include
- Scheme Operations and Insights - as the subject matter expert for HTB, you will develop internal processes and operational Scheme requirements; manage and resolve incidents and issues related to HTB; and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lender and Stakeholder Management - support the maintenance of effective relationships and engagement with panel lenders.
- Portfolio Performance & Exposure Monitoring - use data-driven insights to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities across the HTB portfolio, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Contribute to the enhancement of reporting capabilities, monitor portfolio and Scheme performance against broader market benchmarks, and assess market developments to identify potential impacts on Scheme outcomes and delivery.
- Risk Management - support the effective governance and risk management of the Scheme by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational policies, and industry obligations. Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks,
maintain a robust control environment aligned to risk appetite, and provide timely advice on key and emerging risks while partnering with stakeholders to support robust risk and compliance outcomes.
Skills And Experiences The successful candidate will have:
- Experience from the residential mortgage sector within financial services. Your background may include expertise in retail lending or retail banking product management.
- Strong understanding of the lending operational landscape, including financial institutions and borrowers, and how these areas intersect with public policy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and lead teams to high-performance.
- Experience in government, combined with commercial expertise, will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or a related field.
