HR Business Partner

Pymble, Sydney, Australia Hybrid Working | 3-4 Days Per Week On-Site

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to join our global HR team and support our growing Australian business based in Pymble, Sydney.

This is a pivotal role, acting as the primary HR partner for a workforce of 75+ employees. You'll work closely with leaders and employees across the business, providing expert HR guidance, supporting organisational growth, and helping embed a positive, high-performing culture.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at a significant stage of its evolution. As the organisation continues to grow and mature, you'll play an important role in supporting leaders and employees through change, ensuring people remain engaged, informed, and supported.

Reporting to the Global HR Director in the UK, you'll become part of a collaborative global Centre of Excellence model, working closely with specialist teams in HR Operations, Payroll and Recruitment to deliver a seamless employee experience.

Given the nature of the role and the importance of building strong relationships across the site, the successful candidate will be based in office in Pymble 3-4 days per week.

What You'll Be Doing

As the HR Business Partner for Australia, you will:

- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and employees across the business.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, supporting leadership capability and employee engagement.
- Provide expert guidance on Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, employee relations matters and HR best practice.
- Support managers through a wide range of people matters including performance management, absence management, employee development and organisational change.
- Partner with leaders to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.




- Lead and support employee relations cases, ensuring consistent, fair and compliant outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with our UK-based HR Operations, Payroll and Recruitment teams to deliver an excellent employee experience.
- Support recruitment activity, onboarding and workforce planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian federal and state employment legislation.
- Maintain accurate HR records and provide people data, reporting and insights to support decision-making.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration and leave processes.
- Support annual people processes including performance reviews, salary reviews and bonus programmes.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the global HR function.

What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced HR qualified who combines strong technical expertise with a practical and people-focused approach.

You will bring

- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Adviser role.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and Modern Awards.
- Proven experience supporting managers with complex employee relations matters.
- Experience partnering with leaders within a rapid-paced operational or commercial environment.
- The ability to balance business needs with employee experience.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively when required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.




- Experience using HR systems and producing people-related reporting and insights.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience working within a global or matrix organisation would be advantageous.
