Job Summary:
The Beverage Planning Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising beverage production schedules across all beverage manufacturing assets. This role is accountable for sequencing and scheduling beverage production activities from the current production week through a rolling minimum 13-week planning horizon, providing visibility of constraints, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans to maintain service levels. The role manages planning and sequencing of all beverage manufacturing equipment supporting packaged and bulk products and acts as planning lead for all beverage related NPD, PCR activities and trials.
Tasks:
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain a rolling minimum 13-week beverage production plan.
- Sequence beverage production to maximise equipment utilisation and minimise changeovers.
- Plan beverage requirements for packaging and bulk customers.
- Balance demand, inventory, capacity and ingredient availability.
- Monitor schedule adherence and communicate risks.
- Coordinate NPD, PCRs and beverage trials within the production plan.
- Participate in cross functional meetings.
- Maintain planning data and master data.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Food Safety
- Ensure all packaging activities comply with Quality Assurance requirements, food safety standards, and GMP practices.
- Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process and take corrective action where standards are not met.
- Ensure accurate completion of production, quality, and traceability records.
- Actively promote a quality-first mindset across the production team.
Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;)
- Ensure all production activities are carried out in accordance with workplace health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Lead by example in promoting protected systems of work and correct use of PPE.
- Identify hazards, report incidents, and support corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensure team members understand their safety responsibilities and follow safe work procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in production planning within food or beverage manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of beverage processing.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel capability.
- Understanding of GMP.
- Unrestricted working rights for Australia
- Australian Driver’s License
Desirable:
- Experience with SAGE ERP
- Experience with LYNQ APS
- Knowledge of beverage tank scheduling and NPD implementation
