About the Role

OPW Civil is a rapidly growing civil construction firm delivering high-quality earthworks, drainage, and structural infrastructure across the Perth Metro area. We are currently seeking a motivated Civil Carpenter and an experienced Civil Drainer to join our team in Perth.

These roles are central to our upcoming project pipeline, ranging from rail extensions and marina developments to major road upgrades.

1. Civil Carpenter

As a Civil Carpenter, you will be responsible for the structural timber and concrete formwork essential to our civil sites.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting civil engineering plans and specifications.
- Constructing concrete formwork for pits, headwalls, and retaining structures.
- Installing framework, timber structures, and site hoarding.
- Operating hand and power tools safely in a high-activity environment.
- Requirements:
- Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220 or equivalent).
- Current Construction White Card.
- Proven experience in a civil or commercial construction setting.
- Valid WA Manual Driver’s Licence.

2. Civil Drainer / Pipe Layer





We are looking for a Drainer to manage the installation of critical inground services, including stormwater and sewer networks.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Installing below-ground drainage systems (stormwater, sewer, and water mains).
- Setting up pipe lasers and carrying out level checks.
- Constructing manholes, pits, and infiltration structures.
- Trench dewatering and managing site sedimentation controls.
- Requirements:
- Certificate II in Drainage or Certificate III in Plumbing is highly regarded.
- Current PVC Pipe Laying Accreditation.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in civil subdivision or infrastructure drainage.
- Relevant machinery tickets (e.g., Excavator) are a major advantage.
