Description

Executive Leadership | Commercial Strategy | Growth

Help shape the next chapter of a successful Queensland-grown business.

Allclass is an independent, family-owned Queensland business with more than 30 years of history and a strong reputation within the machinery and equipment industry. As an authorised Kubota and Merlo dealer, we operate across a growing branch network throughout Queensland, supporting our customers across Sales, Parts and Service.

As our business continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping our future.

Based at our Wacol head office and reporting directly to the Directors, this is not a CFO role focused solely on reporting the numbers.

We are looking for a strategic business partner who can interpret them, challenge them and use them to influence what happens next.

The Opportunity

As CFO, you will provide strategic financial and commercial leadership across the Group, ensuring our Directors and leaders have the insight, systems, controls and advice they need to make informed decisions.

You will take executive responsibility for financial strategy, planning and forecasting, cash flow and working capital, reporting, taxation, treasury and financing, risk, legal and regulatory compliance, insurance, governance and the overall leadership of the Finance & Legal function.

Importantly, you will work closely with operational leaders across the business. You will understand what drives performance at branch and department level, identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability, and help translate strategy into meaningful financial and operational outcomes.

This is an opportunity to influence not only how we manage the business today, but how we build it for tomorrow.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your remit will be broad, with responsibility for:

- Partnering with the Directors and Executive Leadership Team on financial strategy, commercial decisions and business performance.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the organisation.
- Providing meaningful analysis of performance across branches, departments and business activities – moving beyond reporting results to understanding why they occurred and what we can do about them.
- Maintaining strong oversight of cash flow, liquidity, working capital, inventory investment and financing arrangements.
- Strengthening financial governance, internal controls and commercial risk management.
- Overseeing taxation, statutory reporting, audit, insurance, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
- Leading and developing the Finance & Legal Team, building capability, accountability and succession.
- Supporting investment decisions, new locations, strategic partnerships, acquisitions and other growth opportunities.
- Driving improvements in financial systems, reporting, automation, data quality and business intelligence.
- Working collaboratively with operational leaders to improve revenue, margins, productivity, cost management and return on investment.

The scope extends well beyond traditional finance leadership, including enterprise risk, contracts, insurance, corporate governance and company secretarial responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced finance leader who is equally comfortable around the executive table, working through a financial model or sitting with an operational manager to understand what’s really happening in their business.

You will bring:

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Current CPA, CA ANZ or equivalent recognised professional qualification.
- Significant senior financial leadership experience, ideally as a CFO, Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar.
- Strong capability across financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, management reporting and governance.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and operational business partnering capability.
- The confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders.
- An ability to translate complex financial information into practical, commercially focused advice.
- Experience identifying and managing business risk and working effectively with external legal and professional advisers.
- A genuine interest in systems, automation, data and continuous improvement.

Experience within a dealership, machinery, automotive, equipment, distribution or other asset and inventory-intensive environment would be highly regarded, as would experience within a multi-site business and exposure to acquisitions, expansion, ERP improvements or business intelligence systems.

Why Allclass?

This is an opportunity to join an established Queensland business at an exciting point in its evolution.

We have the foundations of a successful business, an experienced leadership team and ambitious plans for the future. We are continuing to invest in our people, systems, technology, processes and branch network – and our CFO will have an important voice in determining where we go next.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

Influence strategy. Challenge thinking. Improve performance. Build capability. And help shape the future of the business.

If you’re an accomplished finance leader looking for a CFO prospect where you can have a genuine impact beyond the finance function, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now to join Allclass and help us build the next chapter of our growth.

For a confidential conversation about the role, please call Kelly on 0400 651 955.
