About the project

n

Thompsons Creek Stage 1 - South is a major wastewater infrastructure project being delivered for Sydney Water to support Western Sydney's rapid growth.

n

The project includes 3.4 km of new wastewater pipeline, delivered using trenchless micro-TBM technology at depths of up to 12 metres, along with 24 temporary shafts and 23 permanent maintenance holes.

About the role

n

As Safety Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting safe and successful project delivery. With a strong site presence, you'll work alongside construction teams, subcontractors and project leadership to identify risks, strengthen safety practices and promote a positive safety culture.

n

This role provides the opportunity to take ownership of safety outcomes on a significant infrastructure project while working within an experienced and supportive project environment.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Provide visible safety leadership and maintain a strong site presence.
n
- Support teams to identify, manage and control project risks and hazards.
n
- Conduct site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
n
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with approved HSMP and CEMP requirements.
n
- Analyse safety data and support reporting, initiatives and continuous improvement.
n

n

What will you bring?

n

n
- 5+ years' safety experience in construction or civil infrastructure.
n
- Cert IV in WHS or higher safety qualification.
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, systems and best practice.
n




- Confident communication skills with the ability to influence site teams.
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
n
