Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within Wisteria Unit, you will provide expert, recovery-focused mental health nursing care while supporting clinical excellence, education and professional leadership across the team.

Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning and coordination for patients with complex mental health needs, delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

Provide clinical leadership to the nursing and multidisciplinary team, using advanced critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Contribute to the coordination of the unit, including staff supervision, shift coordination, resource management, change management and quality improvement activities.

Support a robust learning culture through clinical education, mentoring, research, audits and the implementation of evidence-based practice and contemporary mental health nursing approaches.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who brings strong clinical expertise, leadership capability and a genuine commitment to recovery-focused, person-centred care.

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in mental health nursing, including the assessment, care planning and management of patients with complex needs.

Strong clinical leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide direction, delegate effectively and support the development of colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, problem-solving and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes, manage risk and maintain high clinical standards.

A commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement and contemporary mental health practice, including working towards or maintaining credentialing through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses and obtaining Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status.
