We are seeking experienced Senior Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers to join a high-profile Federal Government ICT program delivering strategic cloud transformation and modernisation initiatives.

These roles will play a critical part in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale cloud solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable and user-centric digital services.

About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Architect/Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across cloud platforms, architecture design, integration, security, automation and solution delivery initiatives.

Working alongside architects, developers, business analysts, project teams and stakeholders, you will help shape the future-state cloud capability while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, government standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop enterprise-scale cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Develop high-level and detailed solution architectures for cloud-based systems.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
- Conduct impact assessments and evaluate solution options to support stakeholder requirements.




- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and government standards.
- Contribute to platform automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and cloud governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions
- Support user-centric solution design and digital service delivery outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Essential

- Minimum 5 years' experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud-based solutions.
- Robust expertise across:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Functions
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure SQL
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure API Management

Hands-on experience with:

- Azure DevOps
- CI/CD pipelines
- Infrastructure as Code
- Repository and deployment management

Knowledge of:

- Microsoft Entra ID
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Monitor
- Application Insights
- Experience with Azure networking, security and identity management including:
- Virtual Networks
- Private Endpoints
- Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Experience integrating cloud platforms with third-party applications and enterprise systems.

Security Requirements

Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
