M.J. Bale is looking for an experienced Cluster Business Manager to lead our Chermside store, David Jones Chermside and David Jones Sunshine Plaza concessions.

This is a Tuesday-to-Saturday role for a strong retail leader who enjoys developing teams, driving performance and staying close to the customer.

Founded in Australia in 2009, M.J. Bale creates garments of integrity using quality natural fibres and expert craftsmanship. We’re a certified B Corp and Official Tailor to the Australian Test cricket team, the Wallabies and the Socceroos.

About The Role

One standalone store, two David Jones concessions and one consistently high standard.

You’ll take ownership of performance across the cluster, supporting each team to deliver strong commercial results and an exceptional customer experience.

Your Day Will Include

- Driving sales, KPIs and profitability across all three locations
- Coaching store leaders and developing capable, engaged teams




- Building a strong culture of service, styling and client relationships
- Reviewing results and turning opportunities into clear actions
- Maintaining high standards across presentation, stock and operations
- Supporting recruitment, workforce planning and team development
- Building effective relationships with David Jones and internal stakeholders
- Travelling between Chermside and Sunshine Plaza to support each team

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

You’ll Bring

- Multi-site, cluster or senior store management experience
- A proven record of improving sales and store performance
- Strong coaching skills and the ability to develop future leaders
- Commercial confidence and sound decision-making
- Experience building strong customer and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail
- Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday and travel between locations
- Experience in premium fashion, menswear, luxury or concession retail will be highly regarded.
