About the Agency The Australian Digital Health Agency is transforming how Australians experience healthcare by enabling people and providers to access the information they need, securely, quickly and in one place. Through national digital services such as My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions and the 1800Medicare App, we are building a connected health system that gives Australians greater control over their health.
The Contract Administration Officer (APS5) supports the effective administration and management of contracts associated with national digital health systems. The role works closely with contract managers and stakeholders to ensure contracts are delivered in line with organisational objectives, with a focus on financial management, compliance, supplier performance, governance, and contract lifecycle activities. Operating with limited direction, the position provides advice, coordination, reporting, and administrative support while ensuring adherence to government legislation, policies, and organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and ongoing management of contracts, including contract variations, extensions, amendments, additional service requests and providing advice
- Monitor contract expenditure and budgets, by reconciling invoices before seeking approval, assessing monthly financial forecasts, providing financial reporting, analysis, and advice to stakeholders.
- Coordinate contract performance processes, including meetings, reporting, documentation reviews and acceptances, and monitoring delivery against agreed service standards and deliverables.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, procurement frameworks & policies, financial delegations, and internal governance requirements.
- Undertake research, analysis, and continuous improvement activities while supporting broader business operations, governance, and administrative processes.
Key Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, financial management, and stakeholder support, preferably within a highly regulated environment.
- Experience using financial and procurement systems, complemented by strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work with data and reporting tools.
- Foundational level Power BI skills to analyse data, build and standardise reports and dashboards, and support evidence-based decision making.
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret financial and contract information.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.
