Cook / Chef – El Mexicano El Mexicano is looking for an experienced and passionate Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have previous commercial kitchen experience, strong food preparation skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage food preparation and kitchen operations during service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Monitor food stock and assist with ordering and storage.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Follow kitchen procedures and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Work cooperatively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Requirements:





- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef is essential.
- Commercial kitchen or restaurant experience required.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
