Full-Time Western or Asian Food Cook

Ryde Club is looking for an experienced Western Food Cook and Asian Food Cook to join our kitchen team.

About the Role

Western cook:

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Western-style dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook Western dishes including steaks, burgers, pasta, schnitzels, salads and other club-style meals
- Prepare ingredients and maintain an organised kitchen
- Ensure food is consistently prepared to a high standard
- Follow recipes, portion controls and food safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff

Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant, club, café or similar workplace
- Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential

Asian cook:





You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Asian dishes, with the ability to maintain consistent quality and flavour during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes
- Experience with Chinese and/or other Asian cuisines is highly desirable
- Prepare ingredients, sauces and marinades according to recipes and kitchen requirements
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
- Assist with stock management, preparation and minimising food waste
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Requirements
- Previous experience as an Asian cook or chef
- Strong knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and ingredients
- Experience with Chinese cuisine is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
