Consultant Psychiatrist (Adult &/or Child and Adolescent) - Northam, WA

We are currently partnering with a leading regional health service in Northam to recruit Consultant Psychiatrists across Adult and Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
n

The Opportunity
n
n
- Work across Adult, CAMHS, Youth, Aboriginal and Older Adult Mental Health programs
n
- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a community-focused model of care
n
- Play a key role in clinical leadership, governance, and service development
n
- Collaborate with a strong multidisciplinary team (psychologists, nurses, social workers, Aboriginal health workers)
n
- Opportunity for outreach work across surrounding sites including Narrogin, Merredin, and Gingin
n

Salary & Benefits
n
n
- Total package: approx. $412,000 - $523,000+ p.a. (inclusive of 12% super + PD allowance)
n
- Additional consultant range: $333,000 - $448,000
n
- Sessional rates: $790 - $1,003 per session
n
- 4 weeks annual leave + 3 weeks professional development leave
n
- 5 weeks overseas PD leave after 5 years
n
- Regional incentives including district allowance, accommodation support, and relocation assistance
n
- Flexible working options: full-time, part-time, or sessional
n

About The Hospital & Service
n
Northam Hospital is the primary referral hospital for the Wheatbelt region:
n

- Approximately 70-80 beds,
functioning as a Tier 3 regional hospital
n
- Provides Emergency, General Medicine, Maternity, and Mental Health services
n
- Close integration with Perth tertiary services (just over 1 hour away)
n
n
The Wheatbelt Mental Health Service delivers:
n
n
- Adult Mental Health (18-65)
n
- Child & Adolescent Mental Health (0-18)
n
- Youth services (15-24)
n
- Aboriginal Mental Health programs
n
- Older Adult Mental Health services
n
n

Requirements
n
n
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent)
n
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
n
- Experience in adult and/or child & adolescent psychiatry
n
- Open to UK/Ireland trained psychiatrists via the Expedited Specialist Pathway
n
