The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is seeking exceptional candidates to fill the role of Deputy Chair.
ASIC is Australia's integrated corporate, markets, financial services, and consumer credit regulator. By ensuring transparent, fair, and effective financial markets, ASIC contributes to the economic prosperity and financial well-being of all Australians.
The Deputy Chair supports the Chair in leading ASIC, contributing to the regulation of Australian companies and financial markets, engaging strategically with stakeholders, and may act as Chair when required.
We are seeking candidates who have experience at senior levels leading complex organisations through change, and a proven ability to achieve results in challenging environments.
An ideal candidate will have significant experience in business, financial markets, financial services, law, economics, accounting, or regulation, with digital, data,
and large-scale technology transformations highly desirable. A working understanding of government would be helpful but it is not a requirement.
This full-time role offers competitive remuneration as set by the Remuneration Tribunal and may be based in any capital city in Australia. The role will involve extensive travel.

The successful applicant must meet the statutory requirements set out in the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 and will require a security clearance. The appointment of a Deputy Chair is made by the Governor-General upon advice from the Treasurer.
