About The Role

Reporting to senior management, the Administration Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary administrative workforce, driving service excellence, workforce capability, and continuous improvement across the service.

What You'll Be Doing The Deputy Manager, Patient Services Information Unit (PSIU) is responsible for the overall leadership and management of inpatient/outpatient administrative staff at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) ensuring the delivery of high quality and effective administrative services.

The position is responsible for reviewing the current administrative support structures and reporting across RNSH to identify opportunities for greater coordination of workload across services, identifying revenue collection opportunities and career pathways across administrative roles.





The role is responsible for coordinating administrative workforce operations, including rostering, backfill coverage, payroll and staff enquiries, and supporting staff performance and professional development through regular feedback, training opportunities, and career progression initiatives. The position also ensures high standards of data integrity, records management, Activity Based Funding (ABF) practices, revenue processes, data quality, and continuous quality improvement activities across administrative functions.

The position will proactively promote a positive workplace culture by fostering staff empowerment, engagement and encouraging an environment of excellent customer service, assisting in the delivery of exceptional patient, staff and visitor experience.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice, quality improvement and innovation in health administration, with experience in producing and analysing KPI reports to identify performance trends, drive quality improvement initiatives, and implement effective change management strategies that enhance service delivery and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and operate within allocated budget parameters to support service delivery and organisational objectives.
