We are seeking an experienced Drawings Officer to convert customer concepts into detailed working drawings providing the fabrication team clear instruction to produce finished product. The role is critical as the first step in the custom manufacturing process and ensures the drawings instructions meet the customer’s expectations before progressing into fabrication.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a rapid-paced Drafting, Technical Drawing or Engineering environment and can display excellent attention to detail, strong multi-tasking ability, good problem-solving skills and a common sense approach to getting the job done.

The Role The key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing work order requests & liaising with Sales staff to ensure the customer’s requirements are clearly understood
- Producing highly accurate drawings in AUTOCAD to facilitate customer orders quickly progressing into fabrication
- Providing high level technical support to all internal staff to solve problems, educate staff on technical specifications & ultimately allow work orders to achieve 100% DIFOT
- Ensuring conformance to specifications, standards & other regulatory requirements
