Overview

Microsoft’s Education Account Team focuses on empowering customers on their AI journey. This team is responsible for envisioning new possibilities for our customers, delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.

As an Education Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive AI transformation in partnership with your customer, to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes.

Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage with customers and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace AI technologies. With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will give the chance to leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against your customer’s account plan. This role is flexible, allowing you to work 2-3 days a week from home.

Responsibilities

Own the customer’s Frontier Business Strategy, leading executive conversations and developing customer-backed strategies across AI, cloud, security, sovereignty and industry transformation.

Build and expand trusted relationships with C-suite, Line of Business and industry leaders, creating executive alignment around customer priorities and transformation outcomes.

Develop, maintain and execute high-quality Frontier Account Plans and 3 Horizon strategies that serve as living assets for customer engagement, planning and Quarterly Business Reviews.





Translate customer priorities and readiness insights into actionable strategies that create qualified pipeline, funded initiatives and measurable business outcomes.

Lead a cross-functional One Microsoft team across Solution Areas, Customer Success, Services and Partners to deliver integrated customer outcomes and a consistent customer experience.

Drive execution across the customer lifecycle, converting strategy into long-term commitment through Azure consumption growth, Copilot adoption, Security usage, renewals and expansion opportunities.

Own MACC opportunities end-to-end, including origination, consumption planning, business value realisation, adoption and ongoing usage growth.

Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecast accuracy and opportunity hygiene, ensuring sufficient qualified pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual growth objectives.

Lead commercial discussions and renewal planning to secure customer commitments, protect revenue and maximise long-term customer value.

Champion cloud sovereignty and AI transformation discussions with priority customers, helping organisations navigate strategic, regulatory and operational considerations.

Use AI and Microsoft Copilot capabilities to improve customer insight, planning quality, productivity and executive engagement.

Drive continuous improvement in customer experience, including customer satisfaction, account team quality and executive engagement outcomes.

Stay informed on education industry trends, policy developments, and emerging technology opportunities to help customers innovate and achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

- 5+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in a relevant industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 2+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
- OR equivalent experience
- OR 5+ years experience in working in a relevant industry (e.g., Education, Government), driving AI transformation, and/or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
