Ready to hit the ground running?
We’re building our crew of E&I; Technicians for a major oil and gas construction project in the Beetaloo Basin, Northern Territory, with mobilisation required by 22 September.
This is a short-term earning opportunity through to the end of November, working 12-hour days on a 3:1 FIFO roster giving you the opportunity to maximise your earnings while gaining exposure to a high-profile pilot project in one of Australia’s key emerging energy regions.
Mobilisation is available from Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Darwin or Sydney.
The project
You’ll be joining a hands-on construction and commissioning team delivering a pilot project across the Beetaloo Basin, with exposure including:
- Oil and gas construction across brownfield and greenfield environments
- Generators, compressors, switchrooms, air-conditioning systems, metering skids, communications, PLCs and more
- Solar equipment installation and integration
- EEHA and instrumentation works
- Commissioning activities across electrical and instrumentation systems
- Camp facilities, including laundry services
What you’ll be doing
With a solid focus on safety, quality and efficient execution, you’ll contribute to:
- Installing, calibrating and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems
- Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, including panels, drives and motor control centres
- Performing loop checks, commissioning and testing of instrumentation systems
- Completing preventative and corrective maintenance across E&I; systems
- Diagnosing faults across PLC, DCS and SCADA systems
- Interpreting P&IDs;, electrical schematics and loop diagrams
- Maintaining accurate maintenance, testing and calibration records
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety standards, procedures and permit-to-work systems
What you’ll need
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an E&I; or similar role within oil & gas, energy or mining
- Unrestricted Electrical Licence
- Instrumentation qualification highly regarded
- Experience with process control systems and instrumentation calibration
- Strong understanding of hazardous area environments and EEHA
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Solid knowledge of electrical safety, isolations and permit-to-work systems
- Current Driver’s Licence and White Card
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to mobilise by 22 September 2026.
