AO5 Electrical Capability Coordinator - Infrastructure & Transport

Location: Gold Coast, QLD

Contract: Approximately 12 months, based on 1,914 hours at 36.25 hours per week

Pay: $77.52 - $84.10 p/h including super

Work type: Full-time

Police check: A National Police Check is required

About the Role

This AO5 labour-hire role with our State Government client coordinates technical capability across electrical, ITS and civil electrical disciplines.

You will keep training and competency systems current, support practical civil electrical learning, and provide technical guidance to people across operational teams. The work combines technical credibility with training coordination, coaching and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coordinate electrical, ITS and civil electrical training and competency activities
- Maintain training plans, competency records and assessment evidence
- Keep learning resources and technical training content current
- Support civil electrical training, knowledge transfer and practical learning
- Coach apprentices, trainees, electrical workers, supervisors and project managers
- Improve training schedules, competency pathways and technical guidance
- Support succession planning for specialist electrical capability





What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

- You've coordinated technical training or competency activities in an electrical environment
- You've maintained training plans, competency records, learning resources or assessment evidence
- You can support practical electrical learning and maintain technical training content
- You've coached or guided electrical workers, apprentices, trainees or operational leaders
- You hold a current, valid Queensland Electrical Work Licence as an Electrical Mechanic
- You hold a valid C class driver's licence
- You're an Australian citizen
- You can complete a National Police Check

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

- Workplace health and safety, auditing or incident investigation experience
- Electrical safety training experience in civil construction, electrical construction or maintenance
- Electrical safety or quality audit experience, including formal workplace investigations
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a current equivalent qualification
