Job Description
Structural Engineer | Temporary Works | Sydney
n
I'm working with a large, highly regarded Australian engineering consultancy looking for a Structural Engineer to join their Temporary Works team in Sydney.
n
They've got a particularly strong reputation in structures, work on some of the biggest and most complex projects around Australia and have some seriously good structural engineers to learn from.
n
This role is heavily connected to construction and how things actually get built.
n
The work covers temporary structures, propping, bracing, formwork, lifting, demolition sequencing and solving structural problems that come up during construction.
n
You'll work closely with builders and contractors, spend time on site and engineer practical solutions that need to work in the real world.
n
What they're looking for:
n
n
- Ideally 3+ years' structural engineering experience
n
- Temporary works experience would be outstanding, but isn't essential
n
- Practical mindset and comfortable working with contractors and site teams
n
- Equally open to a good structural design engineer wanting to move into temporary works
n
n
It's a good opportunity for someone who enjoys structures but wants to get closer to construction, site and the practical side of engineering.
n
In case you're already doing temporary works, or you're a Structural Engineer who thinks this sounds more interesting than another traditional building design role, get in touch. Marc Hammond on 0402 413 428.
