Are you an experienced freight forwarder looking to broaden your skills across both Air and Sea Freight? We’re seeking a customer-focused Export Operator to join our Operations team and manage shipments from initial quote through to final delivery.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with customers, carriers, transport providers, suppliers, and overseas agents to ensure shipments move smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly. You’ll be responsible for coordinating bookings, transport, documentation, customer communication, invoicing, and file management while delivering a high level of service and maintaining profitability.

What you’ll be doing:

- Managing Air and Sea Freight export shipments end-to-end
- Coordinating bookings with carriers, co-loaders, transport providers, and depots
- Preparing and processing export documentation, customs requirements, and shipping instructions
- Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates to customers and overseas agents
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving operational issues




- Sourcing and negotiating freight rates with carriers and suppliers
- Preparing customer quotations and understanding buy/sell rates to maintain margins
- Managing jobs from initial quote through to shipment completion and file closure
- Ensuring accurate costing, invoicing, and recovery of additional charges where applicable
- Contributing to service improvements and achieving operational KPIs

About You:

- Experience in freight forwarding, ideally across both Air and Sea Freight
- Strong knowledge of export operations, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Experience preparing quotations and negotiating freight rates
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Commercially minded with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
