Fixed Plant Electrician – Gold Mining

Full-Time Permanent | 8:6 Day Shift | FIFO Perth or DIFO Kalgoorlie

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fixed Plant Electrician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role offers a diverse scope of work, from inspecting work areas and plant for hazards, damage and defects through to completing preventative maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs across the operation.

The successful applicant will also provide electrical support across NPI, site infrastructure and camp facilities as required. There will also be opportunities to assist with the RO treatment plant, providing further variety and the chance to broaden your experience across different areas of the operation.

You will be part of a small and supportive electrical team, consisting of two Electrical Team Members and one Supervisor per shift, allowing you to work closely with the team and make a genuine contribution to the operation.

This is an 8:6 day-shift roster. FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie. Call-outs will be required from time to time.

Skills required

- Understanding drawings, or specifications to determine methods and sequence of works.
- Efficiently performing electrical maintenance (preventative and corrective) within the processing plant and bore fields.
- Diagnosing faults and breakdowns.
- Maintaining accurate job history notes and ensuring effective communication of work status and any incomplete tasks for hand over.
- Complying with statutory and regulatory standards, conducting performance tests on equipment, and assisting with other trades when competent.
- Maintain a safety focus and engage in hazard identification and risk assessment processes.




- Identifying and implement maintenance opportunities for improvement.

- Participate in any meetings required, including any prestart, maintenance meetings and HSEQ meetings.

About you

You will be a motivated individual possessing relevant trade qualifications. Must have proven experience working in the mining industry on fixed plant ideally in the gold sector.

Requirements

- Certificate III in electrical technology or similar.
- Valid WA Electrical license.
- High Voltage certification.
- Cert IV in instrumentation. (desirable)
- CPR/LVR and First Aid.
- EWP, Working at heights and confined space.
- Current unrestricted “C” Class WA Manual Drivers License.
- Current national police clearance.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a medical and D&A; screen.
