Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Aviation Capability Group (ACG) and provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in regular and emergency response operations across Queensland. The Role:
This is your chance to join QGAir's dynamic aviation team, where your expertise directly supports Queensland communities. We are seeking an experienced Training and Checking Pilot ready for their next challenge within our Fixed Wing operations. In this rewarding role, you will maintain the highest standards of flight safety and Crew Resource Management (CRM), deliver pilot training and checking programs, and operate single-pilot aircraft under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
You will also contribute to training development, support emergency and disaster response activities, and play a vital role in delivering critical frontline government services across Queensland.

What we're looking for:
Mandatory Requirements:
Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)
Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) - CLR MEA
Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 4 Renewals
Minimum 4000 hours total time
Minimum 3000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
Minimum 200 hours Night PIC
Minimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC
Minimum 500 hours Turbine PIC
Recent Fixed Wing Single-Pilot Experience (within 2 years)
Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
Hold a current and valid Australian passport
Highly Desirable Requirements:
Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
Flight Examiner Rating (FER)
B360 Type Rating
C208 (or similar) Experience
