Operating from its premises at M6, 64 Mandoon Road, Girraween NSW 2145, the business supports clients with practical HVAC solutions, including split and ducted air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, scheduled maintenance and system repairs.

Due to ongoing operational requirements, Modified Air Conditioning Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Licensed HVAC Technician (Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic) to join its team on a full-time basis.

About the Role:

The Senior Licensed HVAC Technician will undertake installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair work across domestic and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The position requires an experienced tradesperson who can independently diagnose faults, complete technical work safely and efficiently, and ensure installations and repairs comply with applicable standards and manufacturer requirements.

Salary: AUD $83,000 - $88,000 plus superannuation

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Install, service, maintain and repair domestic and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split and ducted units.

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults using appropriate testing equipment and carry out necessary repairs.

· Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak testing and pressure testing in accordance with licensing and environmental requirements.

· Install and repair copper pipework, including flaring, swaging and brazing, and ensure connections are secure and compliant.

· Commission new and repaired systems, including checking controls, temperatures,



pressures and overall system performance.

· Carry out preventative maintenance and replace faulty components such as compressors, valves, filters, driers and electrical parts.

· Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and manufacturer specifications.

· Complete service reports, maintenance records and job documentation accurately.

· Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain safe work practices on site.

· Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding servicing requirements, parts and job scheduling.

· Provide practical guidance to junior technicians or apprentices when required.

Qualifications and Work Experience Required:

· Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or an equivalent relevant trade qualification.

· At least four years of relevant post-qualification experience in air conditioning and refrigeration installation, servicing, maintenance and repair.

· A current Refrigerant Handling Licence issued through the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC), appropriate to the work being undertaken.

· Demonstrated experience diagnosing refrigeration, mechanical and electrical faults.

· Practical experience installing and servicing split and ducted air conditioning systems and associated refrigeration equipment.

· Ability to work independently across installation, servicing and fault-finding assignments.

· Sound understanding of workplace safety requirements and appropriate refrigeration work practices.

· Good communication, organisational and job documentation skills.

Experience undertaking commercial HVAC work and providing guidance to junior technicians or apprentices will be highly regarded.
