The Senior Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer is responsible for ensuring legislative compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1991 (FOI Act) for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), the Office of the Premier, and agencies within DPC portfolios. The Senior FOI Officer demonstrates a high level of expertise in the FOI discipline with proven ability to understand, interpret and apply legislation whilst displaying high levels of integrity and discretion when handling complex, confidential and highly sensitive information.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.

The Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) supports the Chief Executive (CE), the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) across a range of areas including executive services, strategic advice, strategy and reporting and freedom of information. Through these streams, the OCE works with other DPC divisions to enhance, integrate and apply a strategic lens to the department's collective work.
