Emergency Relief Assessor – Morley WA

Schads Level 3 | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid working arrangements available

About the role

As an Emergency Relief Assessor, you will speak with community members over the phone, listen to their story, understand their needs and connect them with practical support that can make a real difference in their day-to-day lives. You will provide referrals and advocacy that help people access the right supports at the right time. You will maintain accurate client records, identify risks and elevate matters when required. You will work collaboratively with your team and local mission partners to ensure people feel supported from the moment they reach out. This full-time, permanent role is based at our Morley site, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am–5:15pm. Flexible hybrid working arrangements to be agreed with the successful applicant. Pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award.

How you will make an impact

- Create a safe, respectful space for people to share what they are going through
- Hold meaningful phone conversations that help you understand each person’s situation
- Provide emergency relief and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Connect people with the right services through thoughtful referrals and advocacy
- Maintain clear,



accurate records to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Notice emerging needs or gaps and share insights that help strengthen the service
- Work closely with your team and local mission partners to ensure people feel supported from the moment they reach out

What you will bring

- Certificate IV in Community Services as a minimum
- Diploma or above in Community Services highly regarded
- Experience in the community services sector
- Experience supporting people experiencing hardship, vulnerability or trauma
- Confidence engaging with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic and solution focused in challenging or fast paced situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and commitment to TSA values and person-centred practice
- WA Working with Children’s Check
