The opportunity
AsGeneral Manager – Care, you will provide strategic and operational clinical leadership across residential aged care, while providing clinical oversight and supporting integrated care across home care and retirement living.
You will play a key role in shaping clinical strategy, strengthening capability and building a culture wheresafe, person-centred care, accountability and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
You will lead:
- Clinical excellence and safe, high-quality care
- Nursing and care teams, with a focus on capability and development
- Clinical governance, risk management and continuous improvement
- Care planning, assessments, documentation and clinical systems
- Clinical indicators, incidents, medication management and infection prevention
- Clinical incident,
complaint and safeguarding responses
- Accreditation, audit readiness and quality improvement initiatives
- Clinical education, supervision and evidence-based practice
- Relationships with residents, clients, families, medical and allied health professionals
- Integrated care across residential aged care, home care and retirement living
- Compliance with theAged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant clinical obligations
But the role is about more than a list of responsibilities.

The person we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced Registered Nurse and aged care clinical leader who brings strong clinical judgement, governance expertise and a genuine passion for older people.
You may currently be a:
- Director of Nursing
- Clinical Manager
- Care Manager
- General Manager
- Senior Clinical Leader
Or perhaps you’re ready to take that next step into broader organisational leadership.
You will bring senior aged care leadership experience and a strong understanding of clinical governance, compliance, quality and risk.
But just as importantly, you’ll bringemotional intelligence.
You’ll be someone who can inspire confidence without needing to be the loudest person in the room.
Someone who can hold people accountable while still treating them with respect.
Someone who understands that culture isn’t created through policies and procedures.

You’ll be someone who:

Essential requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated senior clinical leadership experience within aged care
- National Police Check
- Aged Care Worker Screening Clearance, or ability to obtain
- Relevant immunisation evidence in accordance with organisational requirements
Highly regarded
- Postgraduate qualifications in aged care, clinical leadership, management or a related discipline
- Experience leading accreditation, registration and quality improvement programs
- Experience across residential aged care, home care and/or retirement living
