We're looking for a Head of Lending to join our Lending and Leasing team in either Sydney / Brisbane or Newcastle.

- About the Role

We’re looking for a Head of Lending who brings strong lending expertise and a genuine commitment to client service together with coaching and developing people. You’ll lead a small team of brokers, own end to end lending operations and partner with our advisory teams to convert internal referrals and generate current leads — while shaping a positive team culture that delivers exceptional client outcomes.

This role can be based in our Sydney, Newcastle, or Brisbane offices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and support a team of lending professionals to achieve individual and team success.

- Drive business growth through client acquisition, referral partnerships and lead generation initiatives.

- Manage complex lending cases and maintain high-quality client relationships.

- Provide strategic guidance on residential and commercial lending solutions.

- Maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and key lending partners.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, lender requirements and best practice standards.

- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the lending function.

- Partner with Tax, Business Advisory and Wealth teams to grow the pipeline and share wins across the firm.





- Utilise a strong background in BD to establish relationship networks and new lead generation.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (or equivalent).
- Current MFAA or FBAA membership and active broker registration.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in lending or mortgage broking.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing people.
- Strong technical lending knowledge across a broad range of lending products.
- A commercial mindset with a focus on sustainable business growth.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
- A collaborative leadership style that prioritises team development, wellbeing and success.
- A proactive approach to business development, lead generation and innovation within the lending industry.
