Position: HR Manager - Elite Supplements
Location: Sydney, NSW (Bella Vista)
Working arrangements: Initially WFH with 1 day per fortnight in Canberra, transitioning to full-time office-based work in Bella Vista, NSW once the new office is established in 2027
Start date: November 2026
Duration: Permanent, full-time
Pay rate: $130,000 - $150,000 per annum plus super
Security requirements: National Police Check is required
Overview
Our client, Elite Supplements, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of day-to-day compliance, policy and operational HR functions across its national retail and franchise network.

The business operates a national inventory and distribution warehouse, more than 140 retail and franchise stores, multiple rapid-growing eCommerce channels and an APAC entity in Singapore. Its multi-entity group structure spans wholesale, retail, franchise, eCommerce and homebrand operations.
Working closely with senior leadership, People & Culture, retail operations, payroll and franchise stakeholders, the HR Manager will ensure HR practices remain legally compliant, commercially practical and consistent across a multi-jurisdictional workforce spanning Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
This is a broad, hands-on HR role covering employment law and compliance, workplace relations, WHS, investigations, policy development, recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, HR systems and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with relevant federal and state employment legislation, Awards and workplace requirements across Australia, with consideration of New Zealand and Singapore requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for Fair Work and workers compensation matters across head office and retail operations.
- Manage WHS policies and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Conduct workplace investigations relating to complaints, misconduct, harassment, bullying and other workplace matters.
- Manage disciplinary and performance management processes end-to-end, including PIPs and associated documentation.
- Review employment contracts across multiple jurisdictions to ensure they remain compliant with current legislation.
- Review, update and strengthen HR policies, procedures and employment handbooks.
- Audit existing HR documentation, identify compliance gaps and implement improvements.
- Review and formalise employee benefits and compensation arrangements.
- Maintain current HR policies and documentation within the organisation's HRIS.
- Support initiatives aimed at maintaining and strengthening organisational culture and employee experience.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for head office employees and support these processes across retail operations.
- Draft employment contracts and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including reference and police checks where required.
- Support internal recruitment, including drafting advertisements, shortlisting candidates and developing talent pipelines for priority vacancies.
- Manage probation processes and ensure managers are notified of key milestones.
- Partner with finance and payroll regarding employee pay, conditions, salary updates and legislative or Award changes.
- Provide HR guidance and support across the franchise network.
- Analyse HR metrics including turnover, retention, performance and cost per hire, providing meaningful KPI insights to the business.
- Conduct regular HRIS access and employee data audits to maintain accurate and compliant records.
Experience/requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and relevant Modern Awards.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret employment legislation and translate requirements into practical HR policies and processes.
- Experience managing workplace investigations, misconduct, performance management and disciplinary processes end-to-end.
- Experience managing WHS policies and workers compensation matters.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and/or drafting employment contracts, HR policies, procedures and related documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, retail operations, payroll and franchise stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with the ability to independently manage compliance-critical HR documentation and processes.
- Experience using Employment Hero or a similar HRIS/payroll platform will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional HR, particularly New Zealand and/or Singapore employment requirements, will be advantageous.
- Previous experience within a retail, franchise or multi-site environment will be highly regarded.
- Experience using recruitment platforms such as Seek and learning management systems would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting employee benefits, remuneration or workplace culture initiatives will also be well regarded.
