HSE Manager – Large Format Industrial Packaging Truganina

Full-time | Senior Leadership Opportunity

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of large format industrial packaging solutions, supporting critical industries across Australia and internationally.

With safety, operational excellence and sustainability at the heart of its operations, the business is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple manufacturing sites.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in driving HSE strategy, strengthening safety culture and ensuring compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and implement the HSE strategy across the business
- Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership coaching and engagement
- Identify, assess and manage operational and critical risks
- Focus on key areas including machinery safety, LOTO, traffic management, chemicals and working at heights
- Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental legislation
- Lead audits, inspections, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and investigate high-risk and notifiable incidents
- Develop and improve HSE systems, procedures, training and reporting
- Provide coaching and capability development to site leaders and HSE teams
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver measurable HSE improvements




- Act as a key interface with relevant regulatory authorities

About You You will be an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial or similarly complex operational environments.

You will bring

- Extensive knowledge of Australian WHS and environmental legislation
- Proven experience in a senior HSE leadership role
- Strong leadership, coaching and change-management skills
- Experience with HSE management systems, including ISO 45001 / ISO 14001
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to safety leadership
- The ability to influence operational leaders and drive cultural change

Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Postgraduate HSE or Risk Management qualifications desirable
- AIHS or relevant professional membership advantageous
