The Role The Human Resources Transformation Branch (HRTB) is seeking an experienced and motivated HR/Program Coordinator (APS6) to support delivery of the HR Transformation Program through the centralised Program Management Office (PMO) within the Hire to Retire (HtR) Value Chain Delivery Office.
The role provides program management expertise, governance coordination, reporting, planning, assurance and project controls to support consistent project delivery, proactive risk management and informed executive decision-making. Working with considerable independence, you will contribute to strengthening PMO capability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include
- Coordinating program governance, reporting and assurance activities.
- Managing governance forums, schedules and program documentation.
- Supporting integrated planning, project dependencies and delivery milestones.
- Coordinating project intake, prioritisation and change control.
- Developing executive reporting, dashboards and briefings.
- Managing program-level risks, issues and dependencies.
- Providing guidance on governance and program management practices.
- Improving PMO tools, processes and templates.
About our Team
Defence People Group (DPG) is working towards an integrated Defence People System that will ensure Defence has the required skills, systems, culture and behaviours to deliver the Defence mission. The Human Resources Transformation Branch plays a critical role in supporting delivery of the One Defence People System through activation of the Hire to Retire Value Chain and transformation of Defence's HR business processes.
HRTB is responsible for
- Activating the Hire to Retire (HtR) Value Chain, and supporting the Deputy Secretary People and Chief of Personnel in their capacity as Value Chain Leaders.
- Leading the transformation of human resource (HR) business processes to achieve improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and how Defence operates.
- Ensuring the successful adoption by DPG of ERP releases through close engagement with DPG’s divisions and key stakeholders.
- Responding directly to DPG and ERP Program governance and reporting requirements.
- Delivery of the Tranche 3 HR ERP solution, which will simplify processes across the Defence enterprise ways of working, and provide near real-time, integrated information to support decision-making.
