The Role The Collaborative and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO) is seeking an organised, proactive and detail oriented professional to join our team in a unique Information and Records Management / Project Support Officer Role. If you're someone who enjoys variety, likes making sense of complexity, and is often the person who keeps things moving behind the scenes, this could be the opportunity for you.
This dual role position combines Information and Records Management with Project Support, providing the opportunity to contribute to both the effective operation of a busy Project Office and the supporting the delivery of some of Defence's most innovative and emerging capabilities.
In the information management component of the role, you will help maintain accurate, accessible and compliant records within Objective, ensuring information is well managed, easy to locate, and aligned with Defence policy and legislative requirements.
The project support component focuses on enabling successful project outcomes through coordination, collaboration and stakeholder engagement. You will work across a broad range of activities, including supporting personnel, coordinating meetings and engagements and preparing business operations documentation, amongst a variety of other activities.
Working under limited direction within an integrated workforce, you will be trusted to exercise sound judgement, use initiative and adapt to changing priorities. You will develop strong working relationships across the Project Office and play an important role in connecting people, information and activities to support informed decision making and project delivery.

About our Team The Information and Records Management Officer / Project Support Officer sits within the Business Operations Team, which provides the enabling services that support the broader objectives of the Collaborative and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO).As a team, we work across a diverse range of functions including information and records management, personnel support, security, business operations and project coordination.
Our role is to connect people, information and processes, ensuring the Project Office has the foundations it needs to operate effectively and deliver outcomes. In this position, you will work closely with colleagues across the Business Operations Team while engaging with stakeholders from across the Project Office.
No two days are exactly the same, and you'll have the chance to contribute to a variety of activities that support both the day to day operation of the organisation and the delivery of emerging Defence capabilities. Collaboration is central to how we work. We share knowledge, support one another during periods of high workload and recognise that the best outcomes are achieved when people work together.

You are comfortable working across a variety of tasks and responsibilities, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Whether managing records, coordinating information, supporting reporting requirements or expanding your knowledge across multiple business functions, you are adaptable and willing to contribute wherever needed.

Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
