About Us

The Southern Vet Group consists of three modern, well-equipped clinics, including two ASAV-accredited hospitals, located in the beautiful southern suburbs of Adelaide. Our clinics support a high caseload of medical, surgical, emergency and rehabilitation cases, as well as the Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Centre. With a large, experienced team - many of whom have been with us for 5-10+ years, we pride ourselves on teamwork, learning, and delivering top-tier veterinary care.

What we can offer you

- Base salary $80-130k (commensurate with experience and skill set)
- Pay for every minute you work
- Included 1.5-2 hours per shift for case management, phone calls, and write-ups, plus a paid 40-minute meal break
- Overtime & Professional Fees: Paid in the event of emergency surgery after closing because your time and expertise are valued!
- Work-life balance: 9-day work fortnight; e.g. 1x surgery shift (10 hours), 1x consult shift (8 hours), 2x afternoon shifts (7.5 hours) that don’t start until 2:30pm giving you extra personal time in the mornings, 1x weekend day shift (10 hours) a fortnight.



A standard fortnight is 76 hours.

What you need

- DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Eligibility for Veterinary Surgeons Board of SA registration
- Commitment to providing gold-standard animal care
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building robust client relationships
- Passion for growing your medical, surgical, and diagnostic imaging expertise
