- Annual base salary from $114,992 - $124, 676 per annum (HEW Level 7) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
Our Domestic Future Students team is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to implement school recruitment strategies and activities that contribute to the University's commencing undergraduate enrolment goals. As a Recruitment Consultant (Schools) you will be building and maintaining relationships with schools to connect prospective students with the opportunities that a Macquarie University education can offer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- In partnership with the Manager, planning, delivering and continuously improving a program of events and initiatives for high school students, current school-leavers and their influencers, and providing support at student recruitment events.
- Building strong cooperative relationships with key schools to increase participation in recruitment activities and drive domestic undergraduate applications that contribute to enrolment goals.
- Representing the University and coordinating its contribution to student recruitment events, initiatives and programs.
- Providing information to prospective undergraduate students, parents and school staff on the University's courses, admissions and entry criteria.
- Contributing to data analysis, reporting and presentations that surface insights and opportunities for growth, including for senior management.
- Developing and maintaining presentation decks and campus tour content for prospective students and their influencers.
- Contributing to knowledge development of Student Ambassadors to support the delivery of recruitment and promotional activities.
About Us
The Future Students team coordinates the international and domestic recruitment strategy of the University and helps Faculties and other portfolios with their student recruitment activities, events, collaboration and engagement. Working across the institution, the team generates significant value for the University and helps maintain a well-established recruitment and partnership network. This role sits within the People and Operations portfolio, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, People and Operations.

You are a relationship-focused professional who enjoys engaging with a wide range of people and thrives in a varied, event-based environment. You bring sound planning skills, an eye for detail and experience in higher education and the student journey. You are comfortable using data to shape activities and enjoy seeing the results of your work reflected in growing engagement.
Selection Criteria
- Degree and/or equivalent extensive experience in business, marketing or related discipline.
- Understanding of the secondary and higher education sector and the end-to-end prospective undergraduate student journey.
- Knowledge of project management principles and sales strategies,
with experience developing and delivering strategies, campaigns and initiatives that meet goals.
- Experience coordinating events and activities and guiding staff, along with managing multiple projects to objectives and timelines.
- Experience collating and analysing data to inform strategies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- A record of building and managing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to engage and inform.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, with strong attention to detail and time management, and the ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
