Your Day at Henry Kendall Gardens Nestled amidst 100 acres of subtropical rainforest and beautifully landscaped gardens in Wyoming, the Henry Kendall Gardens retirement village provides a remarkably serene lifestyle that enhances your wellbeing from the moment you become a part of it.

As aMaintenance Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties. Leading a team of One Maintenance Supervisor and three Maintenance Officers, you will coordinate maintenance activities and provide excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, intermediate computer skills and a knack for problem-solving.

The successful candidate will support the close-knit team on aFull-time basis, from Monday to Friday. No weekend work!

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking maintenance activities to ensure the village is safe, well-presented, and operating efficiently. Your duties will include

- Coordinating and undertaking maintenance tasks, repairs, preventative maintenance, and property inspections across residential facilities.

- Performing a range of hands-on maintenance and handyperson duties, including minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep.

- Ensuring compliance with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors, contractors, and staff.

- Responding to resident maintenance requests in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.





- Managing and liaising with external contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.

- Monitoring maintenance schedules and ensuring all work orders are prioritised, coordinated, and completed efficiently.

- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, asset information, compliance documentation, and database updates.

- Assisting with budget-conscious maintenance planning and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Supporting the Village Manager with various operational and ad hoc duties as required.

This role requires a proactive leader who is equally comfortable coordinating maintenance operations and contributing hands-on when needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

- A trade qualification, with demonstrated experience in the building industry or a related field (highly regarded).

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively coordinate teams and manage competing priorities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.

- Sound knowledge of machinery operation and the tools, equipment, and safety requirements relevant to the role.

- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.

- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel,



Word, and Outlook.

- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively.

- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team workplace.

- A current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
