As Functional Analyst – CRM, you’ll combine business analysis, systems expertise and stakeholder engagement to improve the platforms that underpin the student experience, including Oracle B2C Service (CRM), CareerHub and related technologies. Working collaboratively across the University, you’ll understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver practical solutions that enhance service delivery and outcomes for students and communities. You will
- Provide specialist functional expertise in student systems through business analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, user support, training development and continuous improvement activities;
- Partner with stakeholders to analyse business requirements, identify improvement opportunities and recommend system and process solutions that enhance operational effectiveness;
- Provide advanced functional support and configuration analysis for student systems, including Oracle B2C Service (CRM), Career Hub and related platforms, to ensure effective business outcomes; and
- Provide functional leadership and specialist advice in relation to student systems, business processes, testing activities,
system enhancements and user adoption.
About you
You’re a curious and collaborative professional who enjoys solving complex problems, understanding business challenges and working closely with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. You can ask the right questions, translate requirements into practical solutions and confidently bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, communicating clearly, influencing outcomes and building strong working relationships. You may be a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, CRM Specialist or Enterprise Systems professional, with experience in higher education valuable but not essential. Most importantly, you bring transferable skills from complex service environments and a continuous improvement mindset.
You will possess:
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex business and system issues, analyse requirements, evaluate options and recommend effective functional solutions;
- Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to elicit requirements, facilitate workshops, influence outcomes and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise systems and translating business requirements into functional specifications, process improvements and system solutions. Experience with CRM systems, student management systems or comparable platforms will be highly regarded;
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, including the ability to understand system architecture, data structures,
integrations, SQL queries, scripting logic, APIs and technical documentation, and to work effectively with technical specialists to deliver business solutions; and
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis methodologies including requirements elicitation, process mapping, functional specification development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation support.
