An opportunity is available for an experienced Audio Visual Technician / Installer to join a well established technology and electrical services provider delivering commercial AV and unified communications projects across Sydney.

This is a hands on installation role, suited to someone who can work confidently and independently on site and takes pride in delivering high quality cabling and installation work.

This is not an events AV position. Candidates whose experience is primarily in live events, staging, production or entertainment AV will not be considered.

The position falls under an EBA, with the applicable grade determined by the successful candidate's level of experience and technical capability.

What We're Looking For

You will be an experienced commercial AV installer or technician who can confidently complete installation work without requiring constant supervision.

You'll ideally bring:

- Proven hands on experience installing commercial AV systems
- Strong experience building and dressing AV equipment racks
- Strong experience roughing in, installing and terminating AV cabling
- High quality, neat and professional cabling workmanship
- Ability to confidently read AV schematics, drawings and equipment layouts
- Experience installing displays, projectors, audio systems and AV infrastructure
- Solid troubleshooting and fault finding capability
- Understanding of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or similar collaboration technologies
- Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
- Experience with Cisco, Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, structured cabling or fibre would be highly regarded, as would CTS/CTS-I certification and experience on larger commercial construction projects.

Important Experience Requirement

This position is specifically focused on permanent commercial AV installation.





Candidates coming primarily from events AV, live production, staging, concerts, entertainment or temporary AV setups will not be considered. We are specifically seeking candidates with hands on experience delivering fixed commercial AV installations, particularly equipment rack builds and cable rough-ins.

- Opportunity to develop towards Lead AV Technician, AV Commissioner and technical specialist positions
