Where you'll be working
You will be working with the Team at North Sydney Centre going into community settings on the lower North Shore.
What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care . A position exists for a Registered Nurse to provide quality care to patients requiring community nursing care in their home, using an individualised,
holistic and family-centred approach. The registered nurse works as either a Primary Nurse to patients within a defined geographic area or as a relieving nurse as allocated by the Nursing Unit Manager or as delegated. Nursing care and interventions includes wound care, compression therapy, medication administration, Catheter care and management, changing SPC and IDC, continence care and management, palliative care etc.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Registered Nurse –Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); and Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and a diverse range of health and non-health care providers.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, patient safety, quality of care and team cohesion.
- Sound experience using electronic medical record systems and office applications, and evidence of personal time management capabilities and effective negotiation skills.
