Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain critical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security for business operations.

Role Description

The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security frameworks. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and security while optimizing performance for business applications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems architecture, network management, cloud services, and IT security protocols, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networks.

- Manage and monitor virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

- Configure and maintain cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

- Implement and manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance to ensure high availability.





- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration tasks.

- Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement IT solutions that align with business needs.

- Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested.

- Document system architecture, configurations, and procedures.

- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role.

- Solid knowledge of server and network architecture, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

- Proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

- Expertise in network security best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection).

- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNA) are a plus.
