Red Rooster – Closing Shift Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

Closing & End-of-Day Operations

- Lead and supervise the restaurant during evening and closing shifts
- Ensure all closing procedures are completed accurately and on time
- Secure the store, including doors, alarms, and equipment shutdown
- Complete end-of-day cash handling, reconciliation, and safe procedures
- Prepare clear handover notes for the next day’s management team

Team Supervision

- Manage and support staff during closing shifts
- Allocate tasks for cleaning, food prep, and closing duties
- Ensure staff follow rostered finish times and labour targets
- Coach team members to maintain speed, accuracy, and service standards
- Address staff performance or conduct issues during the shift

Customer Service





- Maintain high customer service standards until closing time
- Manage late-night orders, drive-thru service, and customer inquiries
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly
- Ensure up-selling and promotional offers are followed during evening trade

Food Safety, WHS & Compliance

- Ensure correct food storage, rotation, and labeling at close
- Complete temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and safety checks
- Ensure fryers, grills, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and shut down correctly
- Maintain compliance with Red Rooster food safety and WHS standards

Store Cleanliness & Presentation

- Ensure the restaurant is cleaned to Red Rooster closing standards
- Supervise kitchen, dining area, toilets, and external area cleaning
- Ensure rubbish disposal and waste management procedures are followed

Stock & Waste Control

- Monitor stock usage during evening trade
- Record waste accurately and minimize unnecessary loss
- Communicate stock or maintenance issues to management

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $33.00 – $37.00 per hour
