We are seeking a Lead First Responder and Community Programs to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of AV's First Responder and Community program initiatives, for our Operational Capability Department.

This is a full-time, ongoing position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at AVs Ballarat and Sunshine Business Centres in line with our hybrid working model.

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager First Responder and Community Programs, responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of statewide First Responder and Community Programs

- Strengthen community capability through volunteer engagement and community response initiatives

- Drive engagement, participation and sustainability across volunteer and community-based programs

- Develop and maintain influential partnerships across government, health, emergency service and community sectors

- Champion community and workforce feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation

- Lead a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative, people-first and continuous improvement culture

- Occasional weekend work is required as part of the role

About You The successful candidate will be a team-oriented leader who is passionate about community impact and building meaningful partnerships. You will thrive in complex environments, bring people together around shared goals and are driven to improve outcomes for communities through education, engagement, innovation and continuous improvement. Other requirements include (not limited to):

- A postgraduate qualification in public health,



health sciences, education, community development or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training, qualifications and significant experience

- Experience leading community, volunteer or health-based programs through their full lifecycle

- Demonstrated success building partnerships across community, government, health and emergency service sectors

- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and drive outcomes

- Proven leadership capability, with experience developing teams and fostering a collaborative, people-focused culture
