The Opportunity

n

As a Charge Up Operator, you'll be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling and transporting explosives, maintaining underground firing lines and carrying out shot-firing duties to strict compliance and safety standards.

n

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you'll join a high-performing crew that plays a vital role in underground blast readiness.

Skills & Qualifications

n

n




- Substantial underground mining experience (Charge Up or Service crew exposure highly regarded, as well as use of emulsion and ANFO in blasting)
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
n
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to working safely
n
- Able to work effectively in a team in a physically demanding underground environment
n
- WA Shotfirer's license (or willing to obtain)
n
- Valid manual C Class Driver's Licence
n
- WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
n

About The Role

- Charging development and production rounds
n
- Safely handling and transporting explosives in line with regulations
n
- Tying up and preparing blasts safely and accurately
n
- Conducting pre and post-blast inspections
n
- Maintaining equipment and reporting any issues
n
- Working collaboratively with the underground crew and maintaining solid safety and housekeeping standards
n
