At Uniting Communities, we're looking for a compassionate and energetic Lifestyle Assistant (casual) to help create engaging experiences that support the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and recreational wellbeing of our residents. What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same in this rewarding role. You'll:
- Create and deliver fun, meaningful lifestyle programs that celebrate each resident's individuality.
- Support residents' social, cultural, intellectual, and emotional wellbeing while encouraging independence.
- Coordinate group activities, special events, outings, and community engagement opportunities.
- Tailor activities to meet individual interests, abilities, and care requirements.
- Listen to feedback from residents, families, and colleagues to continuously improve programs.
- Update Lifestyle Care Plans and maintain accurate records that support quality care.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service reviews to help us deliver exceptional experiences.
- Manage activity resources and equipment responsibly and creatively.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely, ethically, and in line with relevant regulations.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is passionate about people and thrives in a team environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure.
- Experience working within a Lifestyle, Leisure, Recreation, or Aged Care team.
- Experience participating in quality reviews or audits.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, caring, and resident-focused approach.
- Confidence in administration and record keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent listening skills.
