About the Role:

Our team in Taupō is looking for a Machine Operator (Day Operator) to join our Finishing Team at our manufacturing plant. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the finishing line to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Your duties will include:

- Operating sanding, cutting, strapping, and packing machinery.
- Cutting and packing boards to production specifications.
- Conducting quality checks, including visual inspections and measurements.
- Troubleshooting machine faults, line stoppages, and product defects.
- Monitoring and operating equipment through HMI systems.
- Replacing sanding paper and assisting with routine machine maintenance.
- Moving finished products with a forklift to the warehouse.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and quality.

6:30am - 12:00pm, with paid breaks.

About You:

- Minimum 2 years' experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Forklift licence advantageous.
