Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Male Support Worker who is fluent in English to support participants with high physical and mental health support needs. This role requires strong physical capability, confidence in using manual handling equipment (including hoists), and experience working with complex behaviours and mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care support including transfers and hoist assistance
- Assist with mobility support and safe manual handling practices
- Support participants with high and complex care needs
- Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation and household duties
- Support community access and social participation
- Provide emotional and mental health-related support
- Encourage independence and skill development
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reporting
- Follow NDIS standards and organisational policies

Essential Skills & Requirements





- Male support worker (for participant-specific support requirements)
- Fluent in English written and verbal
- Proven experience working with high-needs clients
- Demonstrated experience using hoists and manual handling equipment
- Experience supporting participants with mental health conditions and complex behaviours
- Strong physical ability to perform transfers and mobility assistance safely
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
