Company Description The Jewish Community Council of Victoria (JCCV) is the peak representative body for the Jewish community in Victoria, representing 62 member organisations across Melbourne, including synagogues, schools, cultural institutions, social justice groups, youth movements, sporting clubs and aged care providers.
Through advocacy, partnerships and community leadership, JCCV is committed to strengthening Jewish life in Victoria.
Role Description The Manager of Public Affairs is a new, in office role based in Caulfield South, VIC.
It will work closely with the CEO to strengthen the JCCV's public affairs, external communications and advocacy activities at a state and local council level.
The role advances strategic advocacy objectives and ensures the JCCV continues to be recognised as a credible and respected voice on issues affecting the Victorian Jewish community.
The Director of Public Affairs will work under the CEO to guide the JCCV’s strategic communications, media engagement, support government and political relations, legal and policy advocacy, and local government engagement.
The JCCV is a non-partisan organisation. It does not support nor advocate for any political party or candidate. The Director of Public Affairs will be required to work effectively across parties.
