Kaizen Recruitment

Melbourne

Kaizen Recruitment is proud to partner with LongView, an innovative Australian property and financial services business that is transforming how investors access residential property.

LongView is a purpose-driven for-profit enterprise seeking to enhance access to secure and dignified housing for all Australians.

Having recently closed its first investment fund (14.1% IRR net of fees since inception) and successfully launched its second, LongView is entering an exciting growth phase and continuing to expand its investment platform. This newly created executive role will work closely with the founders and leadership team to build and scale the home equity business at the heart of that platform.

The Opportunity

LongView's model is built on home equity investment into residential property, sourced not through traditional institutional deal flow, but through a sophisticated consumer acquisition platform that connects directly with Australian homeowners.

As Head of Home Equity, you will own the end-to-end execution of this business: originating, structuring and managing home equity transactions, and building the sales, credit and operational capability required to scale volume while protecting asset quality.

Customer Acquisition & Deal Execution

- Lead and grow the team responsible for sourcing, assessing and executing home equity transactions with homeowners.

- Own the customer journey from acquisition through to settlement, working closely with marketing and the consumer platform team to convert demand into quality deals.

- Set and manage credit, valuation and risk parameters for individual transactions, ensuring disciplined underwriting at pace.

General Management & Team Leadership

- Build and lead a high-performing team across sales, credit and deal operations,

implementing the processes and systems needed to scale from current volumes to a much larger book.

- Manage day-to-day P&L; and operational performance of the home equity business, reporting into the executive leadership team.

- Bring the operating rigour of a regulated lending business (clear policies, scalable workflows and solid risk culture) to a fast-growing platform.

Platform Collaboration

- Partner closely with LongView's funds management and capital raising leadership to ensure deal flow aligns with fund capacity, investment mandates and investor expectations.

- Work with Finance, Compliance, Technology and Trustees to support fund governance and reporting as it relates to the underlying asset book.

- Contribute market and product insight to help shape future home equity and residential investment offerings.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced general manager or executive from a non-bank residential lending or home equity business with a track record of leading sales, credit and operational teams through growth.

You will likely bring

- General management experience in a non-bank lender, mortgage originator, home equity or equity release business, with direct accountability for a P&L; or business unit.

- A strong background in residential lending or property-secured transactions: credit assessment, valuation, settlement and portfolio management.

- Experience building or scaling a customer acquisition function, including working with sales,

marketing and digital/consumer platforms to convert leads into settled transactions.

- The people leadership skills to build and manage teams across sales, credit and operations in a high-growth environment.

- Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial, founder-led business where processes are still being built and priorities move quickly.

- Working knowledge of financial services regulation as it applies to residential lending or consumer credit (funds management or trustee-level governance experience is a plus but not required, as you'll be supported by LongView's existing funds management leadership).

Most importantly, you are a hands-on operator who enjoys building a business rather than simply running an established one, and who wants ownership of a core commercial engine within a fast-scaling investment platform.

Why This Opportunity?

This is a rare opportunity to lead the commercial engine of an innovative Australian investment platform, at a pivotal stage of its growth.

You'll have the opportunity to:

- Build and scale a home equity origination business from its current stage through to a much larger, institutional-grade operation.

- Own execution end-to-end — from customer acquisition through to settlement and portfolio management.

- Lead a growing team and shape the sales, credit and operating model as the business scales.

- Work alongside an entrepreneurial founder and leadership team, with direct input into product and platform strategy.
